The Network Operations Center (NOC) Agent is Monta’s first AI diagnostic feature, powered by Monta AI. It is specifically designed to transform the way operators, support teams, and engineers handle failed or problematic charging sessions.
Traditionally, diagnosing a failed charging session requires manual investigation:
Outside of Monta, diagnosing a failed charging session requires time-intensive manual investigation. Operators need to:
- Review OCPP logs line by line
- Check multiple disconnected systems
- Discuss, calculate, and search for a root cause before being able to make a change
- Escalate to engineering if root cause can’t be found
This process is slow, required deep expertise, and often creates bottlenecks for operators and customer support teams.
Monta’s NOC Agent simplifies and accelerates this process by automatically reading OCPP logs and researching 10+ different data sources (including payment records, user feedback, and hardware specifications). It just seconds, it can:
- Deliver rapid insights that would otherwise take hours of manual investigation
- Differentiate between real errors and false alarms.
- Translate complex error codes into plain-English explanations with suggested fixes.
This makes system architecture and diagnostics accessible to all team members, not just OCPP specialists.
Benefits
By automating diagnostics and simplifying complex data, the NOC Agent provides clear advantages across operations, support, and long-term optimisation:
- Faster resolution of failed or problematic charge sessions
- Accessible diagnostics: complex OCPP data is translated into clear insights that any team member can use.
- Optimised use of resources: frees engineering teams from routine troubleshooting, enabling focus on long-term improvements.
- Improved reliability and performance across networks by reducing downtime and shifting effort to strategic optimisation.
- Actionable intelligence: fragmented data is consolidated into meaningful insights that drive smarter decisions.
Current Scope & Roadmap
- Today: The NOC Agent analyses individual charge sessions.
- Future: Expansion to charger-level, site-level, team-level, and operator-level analysis is planned.
Example Use Case
- Open a failed charging session.
- Run the NOC Agent analysis.
- Review the plain-English explanation of the issue.
- Follow the recommended solution.
