Creating flexible fees in the Monta Portal

This guide explains how to create different types of flexible fees in the Monta Portal.

There are several types of flexible fee available in the Monta Portal at the moment.Such as Fixed fee starting, Fixed fee charging, Minute fee charging and Idle fee fully charged.

1. Fixed fee starting

Fixed fee charging is an X amount fee which will be applied every time when starting the charge with this price group applied. It can be applied for both public and member pricing. This means that the end user will pay Fixed fee charging + Master price per kWh, minute or Spot price.

In order to add Fixed fee starting click on "Add".

Add the price, which will be a fixed fee of X amount that will be applied when starting a charge and click on "Save".

2. Fixed fee charging

Fixed fee charging is an X amount fee which will be applied after X amount of hours charging with the price group applied. For example, if the end user is charging for longer than the X amount of the hours applied, he will start paying Fixed fee charging. The payment will be Fixed fee charging + Master price per kWh, minute or Spot price.

In order to add fixed fee charging click on "Add".

Here add the price fixed fee charging and indicate after how many of hours of charging the fee should be applied. A fixed fee of X amount will be applied after 0 hour(s) of charging. Once you add it click on "Save".

3. Minute fee charging

Idle fee charging is an X amount fee to be applied after X hours of charging with this price group. Meaning if the when the end use is charging for longer than the X amount of time end payment will be Idle fee charging + Master price per kWh, minute or Spot price.

In order to add Idle fee charging click on "Add".

Here add the price minute charging and indicate after how many of hours of charging the fee should be applied. A fee of X amount/min to be applied after X hour(s) of charging. Once you add it click on "Save".

4. Idle fee fully charged

Idle fee fully charged is an X amount fee to be applied after X minutes after charge is finished but the car remains connected to the charge point. Meaning once the EV is finished charging but the end user did not pick up the car within the X amount of minutes when fully charged the fee will be applied. This fee will be counting for every minute if the car stays plugged after X amount if minutes when finished the charge. The end payment will be Idle fee fully charged per minute the EV remains connected to the charge point + Master price per kWh, minute or Spot price.

In order to add Idle fee fully charged click on "Add".

Here add the price minute after fully charged and indicate after how minutes after fully charged the fee should be applied. Also add the maximum amount per charge which will be highest amount to charge end user for the Idle fee fully charged.

An idle fee of X amount/min will be applied X minute(s) after done charging if the car remains connected to the charge point. An end user will be charged a total idle fee amount of maximum X EUR for a charge. We recommend setting a maximum amount to avoid excessive fees (for example during night time). Once you add it click on "Save".
