Promotion codes let operators offer discounts to electric vehicle (EV) drivers on their charge points. You can create and manage multiple promotion codes directly from Monta Hub. Only Operator-level users can create, edit, or delete promotion codes.

What can I configure on a promotion code?

• Name — A label for the code
• Code — A unique 8-character code that drivers enter to redeem the discount
• Description — Optional text shown to the driver when they redeem the code
• Discount — The discount percentage applied to the charging session
• Start and end date — The active period of the code
• Total redemption limit — The maximum number of times the code can be used
• Per-user usage limit — The maximum number of times a single driver can redeem the code
• Team restriction — Limits the code to charge points within a specific Team

How do I create a promotion code?

1. In Monta Hub, go to Customer Relations → Promotion codes.
2. Click Create Promotion code.
3. Enter a name for the code.
4. Optionally, add a description that drivers will see when redeeming the code.
5. Enter a unique 8-character code.
6. Enter the discount amount as a percentage (%).
7. Optionally, set restrictions:
   • An expiration date
   • A total number of redemptions allowed
   • A usage limit per user
   • A Team restriction to limit which charge points the code applies to
8. Click Create Promotion code.

How do I edit a promotion code?

You can edit a promotion code as long as it has not expired and its redemption limit has not been reached.

1. In Monta Hub, go to Customer Relations → Promotion codes.
2. Find the promotion code and click the three-dot action menu next to it.
3. Select Edit.
4. Make your changes and click Save changes.

How do I copy or delete a promotion code?

1. In Monta Hub, go to Customer Relations → Promotion codes.
2. Find the promotion code and click the three-dot action menu next to it.
3. Select Copy to duplicate it, or Delete to remove it.
    

Manage promotion codes in the new Monta Hub

In the new Monta Hub, promotion codes moved to the Growth menu. The create and edit flow also adds three options: a spending cap, vouchers, and auto-redeem.

How do I create a promotion code in the new Hub?

1. In Monta Hub, go to Growth → Promotion codes.
2. Click Create promotion code.
3. Enter a name. The name is internal and only your team sees it in the Hub.
4. Enter a code, or use the generate button to create a random one. Use at least 8 characters.
5. Optionally, add a description shown to drivers.
6. Choose the discount type — a percentage discount or a voucher. For a percentage discount, enter the discount percentage applied to each charging session; to set up a voucher instead, see How do I create a voucher? below.
7. Under Eligible charging stations, choose whether the code applies to any charging station or only selected ones.
8. Optionally, set restrictions such as an expiry date, maximum redemptions, and a limit per user.
9. Click Create code.

How do I cap the total discount a code can give?

A spending cap limits how much money a single driver can save with a percentage discount, across all their charges. Use it to control campaign cost.

1. Create (or edit) a promotion code.
2. For the discount type, select Percentage discount.
3. In Maximum discount value (optional), enter the cap amount in EUR.
4. Save the code.

The cap applies per driver. A percentage discount of 10% with a €15 cap discounts up to €15 in total for each driver, regardless of the session total. Once a driver reaches the cap, the code stops applying for that driver.

How do I create a voucher?

A voucher gives drivers a fixed amount of free charging, such as €15 free charging.

1. Create a promotion code.
2. For the discount type, select Voucher instead of Percentage discount.
3. Enter the amount you want to give, for example €15.
4. Save the code.

Drivers charge for free until they use up the value. In the promotion codes list, you can filter by Voucher to find these codes.

How do I push a code to drivers automatically?

Auto-redeem applies a code to drivers without them entering it. Drivers receive an in-app notification confirming the offer is active.

You can auto-redeem in two ways:

• Turn on Auto-redeem for new sign-ups so new users who sign up through your application receive the code automatically.
• Use Or apply this promotion directly to specific users to add the code to chosen users or teams. Select Apply to all existing users to apply it to everyone.

After auto-redeem, the driver sees an in-app message confirming the discount is active, for example "You've received 10% off charging".

How do I edit, copy, or delete a code in the new Hub?

1. In Monta Hub, go to Growth → Promotion codes.
2. Open the code, or use its action menu.
3. Select edit, copy, or delete. Some fields lock once a code has been redeemed.
